Akribi booked for ”Slottskogen goes Progressive” 2012!

It is our great pleasure to announce that Akribi is the first band to be booked for this year’s ”Slottskogen goes Progressive”, arranged by GARF.

This is the 13th year in a row that this progressive music extravaganza is held, and we are immensely excited to be a part of it. More bands will be announced, and from what we’ve heard, it’s looking to be a great lineup. If you have any interest in music whatsoever, you need to be there!

It’s official!

After spending an inordinate amount of time relentlessly searching for a drummer that would qualify on all levels, Akribi is now immensely happy to welcome Sven Funseth to the band! Believe us when we say, this guy knows his way around a drum kit...

Sven has recently returned from his drum studies at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and has now joined Akribi full time.

First of all, we would like to send our sincere thanks to the all people who bought ”Black Morning Sun” so far. There’s been quite a few of you, and we want you to know that it is immensely appreciated. We really hope you enjoy it.

The CDs are now available to order, and a limited number of signed albums are available upon request. We’re still working on our distribution channels, but for now, if you want a copy, just contact us and we’ll be happy to make sure you get one.

Now for more great news! Our new four-track EP is recorded and will be released digitally on the 1st of December. It is a bit of a special project, and we are really happy with the result. More info will come as soon as our contract allows us to reveal it.

In other news, because we just will not settle, we are still auditioning drummers in order to find the best out there. But we are hopeful that we’ll soon be back on the road and gigging. We’ll break the news just as soon as a decision has been made.

First of all, we would like to send our sincere thanks to the all people who bought ”Black Morning Sun” so far. It is immensely appreciated, and we really hope you enjoy it.

But... in the wake of the release of Black Morning Sun comes more great news!

We will, in fact, be releasing another collection newly written songs within a just month or two. These songs are a bit special, though we can’t reveal too much about them just yet. Suffice to say, that they are part of a collaboration project and should be released through all normal channels in October.

Hey everybody, big announcement! Our first full-length album, ”Black Morning Sun” is OUT NOW for digital download from CDBaby! Get it now!

It is, of course, also headed to Itunes, Spotify and several other online retailers. A physical, pressed CD is due out in a few weeks as well.

Great gig at Parken, Gothenburg

Well, we had a great gig a Parken yesterday, playing with, among others, our friends in Unlit Face. It was great fun and one of our best performances to date. The best part? We got everything recorded with a studio-grade cam and are going to release some of the most memorable moments very soon. If all goes well, we should soon have it up in Youtube HD!

Just a small update...

We are currently in the final phases of the recording of our new album. What we have so far sounds effin’ awesome, and we are all very excited to release it to you. Stay tuned for details, including the label it will be released on, as well as a few other pretty exciting announcements!

Another video has been added to the video section. As the caption states, it’s ”a preview of our next underground hit, "Puppies of Trance". Any similarities to "Puppies of War" from our upcoming album are purely coincidental.” Just take it for what it is...

The band-section of our home page has been updated a bit, as well. So head over there and engulf yourself in our innermost secrets. You will never be the same again... :)

Great first gig with Simon!

We’ve just finished our first gig with our new drummer, Simon, at Belsepub, Henriksberg (Gothenburg). It was a great show for all of us and Simon did a stellar job. We’ll publish some photos just as soon as we get our hands on them.

Thanks go out to all who attended, the arrangers of Belsepub, and naturally, our friends in Unlit Face and Ultimate Fate. Really great show guys.
